End Times Heralds: What will you give me?

What will you give me?

This is very common question to all people, what will you give me? People of every class with no difference between caste, creed, color, language, nation, educated and illiterate, from gangsters to employees, from business world to crime world. . . . . . Every one has this common question WHAT WILL YOU GIVE ME?

Even in family we see this question at work, wives in the house ask their husbands what will you give me? Children ask their parents what you will give me if I score good marks in exam.

This is exactly Judas Iscariot asked, one of the twelve. He went to the chief priests and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty silver coins. From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over. (Matt 26:14-15)

He sold Jesus for 30 silver coins, today what are you selling Jesus for? Following Jesus means denying yourself (means who you are and what you like/ desire) and taking up the cross and following Him, whether He blessed you or no! When you say I am a disciple of Jesus than it is not about you, your ministry, your fame, your publicity, your networks, not meetings, you’re gifting, noting about you but all about Him (Jesus Christ).

Today we see some men of God go on advertising about their ministry, their meetings, their gifting, their skills, their talents, and their knowledge. As a man and woman of God you have to ask yourself a question, “in everything that I am doing is Jesus is displayed to the world”?  If it’s not, than you have to think seriously.

When Judas, who had betrayed Jesus, saw that He was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.” What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.” So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself. (Matt 27:3-5)

Do not seek and serve God for all your self centered needs, God has given you all you have because He wants you to glorify Him and give it back to Him as a offering. Let our motives be clear in seeking and serving God. Your anointing and gifting can be a snare to you if you don’t use them the way it has to be used. Bible talks about so many people who misused the call of God, authority of God and anointing, were doomed.

Seek Him because you love Him. Matt 6:33: Seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all things will be added to you. Don’t run after them they will come anyway.

As you read this I pray that God will give you grace to love Him and follow Him everyday, whether He blesses you or no, whether He uses you or no in Jesus name.

Blessings and love,

Greater Anointing

Double Portion anointing from the life of Elisha:

Every born again believer want to have what Elisha had, it is not wrong. The question is how will you receive the greater anointing?

It is good that we desire for it, but only desire will not get you there. I remember when I was in my school days, our teacher will ask us; what is your aim or what do you want to become? I would be surprised that all my class mates will come up with good answer but the question is how many of them reached the place where they wanted to be?

Everyone start from that same class room but everyone life at present is different some have reached their goal, some are in the process of it and some have lost it or given up on it.

Why some people reach their goal and why some don’t?
The only answer is the people fail to receive it because they are carried away by the things that come in their way, they forget what they want to become, some think it costs too much to be there, . . . . . . .

There are so many reasons why people miss it but there is only one reason why some people achieve it because they are persistent, hard worker, never give up what ever might be the situation.

The same principle works even in Spiritual life, the only people who will reach where they want to reach are the people who work hard and not give up! You ask anyone who has been successful in ministry; they are the people who never give up. Whatever people might say, what ever the situation is, does not matter how difficult it might look like, they will give up everything they have to receive everything they want!

2 kings 2: 1-15: In this passage of scriptures we see a man who was determined to have more anointing than his master had, his master looked at him and said, you have asked for a tough thing but it is not difficult if you see me taken up into the heavens. 2 king 2:9-10.

The thing you have dreamt of might be a difficult thing but not impossible thing! All things are possible for them that believe Mark 9:23. What ever YOU ask when YOU pray if YOU believe YOU will have them Mark 11:24(NKJV).

Elisha had to follow his master Elijah everywhere he went, from Gilgal to Bethel, bethel to Jericho and Jericho to Jordan. After following so far, he might probably be tired. Suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! “The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.

When suddenly a whirlwind comes the first thing anyone will do is close his eyes, but for Elisha to receive double portion of his master’s anointing had to keep his eyes open. Probably dust might be filling his eyes but he never gave up.

For us to have a greater anointing on our lives we have to go after Jesus like Elisha did no matter where. We too have to fix our eyes on our Master Jesus Christ, though the problems and doubt might filling our eyes but never gives up; do not take Jesus out of your sight!

Dear friend seek God, bible says whoever seek shall find. Guess what happens when you find the Master of all creation, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. You will start to live in miracles, walking in the glory of God. . . . . . .

Run after Jesus, seek Him like never before, I pray that God will give us a heart to long for Him and grace to seek Him in Jesus name.

With love,
Jeevan and Leena.

Repentance

Repentance is the most important and powerful thing for us as Christian, It brings us back to the place where we actually belong.

When God created man he did not create religion but a relationship. Bible says God came and had fellowship with him, when man sinned (disobeyed) against God, this sin separated man and God.  Isa 59:2

Since then God wanted his people to repent from their sins and return to God, God spoke to his people from generation to generation through the prophets but the people would not listen to them. All the prophets came up with one message “Repent”.

In New Testament also this continued, John the Baptist came with the message “In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Matt 3:1-2.

Jesus also had a message; His message wasFrom that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." Matt 4:17

Even disciples also had a message, Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

In the book of revelation the word repent is used more than 10 times.

What is Repentance?
The word repentance means, a change of mind, accompanied with regret and sorrow for something done, and an earnest wish that it was undone.

In other word Repentance means “Turn around” (To turn from sin to God). God wants you to hate the sin which you once loved and desire the righteousness you once ignored. Repentance is the first step that leads us back to God. Only feeling sorry for the mistake (sin) you have committed is not repentance!

What happens in true repentance?
When we look at the parable Jesus spoke in Luke 15 about a prodigal son, before he came back to his father’s house, four things he did. For you to come back to God you too must do this!

  1. He realized who he was.
  2. He recognized where he is now.
  3. He decided what he will do now.
  4. And was on his way back

Many people realize who they were, and recognized how badly they are suffering, but few people decide what they will do now? And very few people act on their decisions.

Unless you act on the decision you made, there will be no difference at all!

We all should grow in repentance everyday though you are a born again believer, because believe it or not we all grieve God in one way or the other by disobeying Him (committing sin).

There are two kinds of repentance:
  1. Godly sorrow: Ex David. When he knew that he sinned against God, he repented will all his heart and God restored him, he makes a prayer of his life in Ps 51

  1. Worldly sorrow: Judas Iscariot. After betraying Jesus he went to the priest and was sorry for do so, they said it’s your problem and finally he went out and hung himself. Matt 27:3-5

Bible says in 2 Cor 7:10: Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

He loves you and wants to spend time with you, and he want to share His heart with you. Do not allow your sin to stop you from reaching Him. Come on repent today! And enjoy your time with Him.

God bless you,
Jeevan and Leena

Marriage

Marriage is a divine relationship established by God for our good. Many find it so puzzling processes. There are so many people desperately waiting to get married at the same time there are equal number of people want to get out of this relationship called marriage.

The first marriage ever was conducted by God in the Garden of Eden, when God created everything, He said it good, it is good, it is good and He HeHe even created man in His own image and likeness, and man was alone. God said, it’s not good for man to be alone so He made Eve to be his helper.

Once I was invited to preach at wedding in Andhra Pradesh, I was in prayer asking God to teach me about marriage because I myself was not yet married and I did not know what was marriage all about, yes I did a study and prepared notes on it but I was asking for a something new from God; as I was in prayer, God reminded me that the whole bible talks about marriage ‘The Bible begins with marriage and ends up with marriage’ and We are preparing for that great marriage where Jesus will be our bridegroom and we His bride!

Marriage can be most gratifying and satisfying of all relationships but if you don’t understand marriage it can be very frustrating.

Within the marriage there are some responsibility for husband and wife, if we can fulfill them, then we will be happy in our marriage life.

This is the golden rule; in Eph 5:22 and Eph 5:25

For wives: It says Wives be SUBMISSIVE to your husbands as to the Lord. Eph 5:22
The word submissive is be-obedient, under submission;
How? As to the Lord!
Why? Col 3:18: because it is fitting for you in the Lord.
Gen 3:16: ….’He will rule over you’.
            1 pet 3:1: …..’To win a soul’.

For Husbands: It says Husbands LOVE your wife as Christ loved the Church. Eph 5:25
The word love in Greek is agape means unconditional.
How you have to love? As Christ loved the Church.
How you have to treat them?
Col 3:19: Do not harsh them
1 pet 3:7:  Treat them with respect
Gen 2:24: Leave your parents and Cleave to your wife.

This is the foundation truths for our marriage, and addition to this “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Eph 5:21

Remember: “What God has joined Let no man separate”. Mark 10:9, never, never ever think divorce is the solution for your marriage.

God Bless you,

Consequences of SIN

Everyone of us know what sin is?

so many people has so many definitions, i think you too have one. But many people dose not know the consequences of sin.

I want to tell you 10 consequences of sin;

1. It grieves God:

The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the LORD said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” Gen 6:5-7

Every time you commit sin, our Creator is Grieved. God has a personality, He laughs when you obey Him, and He gets badly hurt when you commit sin.

2. It brings Separates you from God:

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. Isa 59:2

There is no-one like our God, He is holy. but you are separated from God because of your sin, still God loves you but not the sin in you.

3. It enslaves you:

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. John 8:34

When you commit sin, you become its slave and it reigns over you until you die to it.

4. It causes Spiritual Blindness to you:

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  2 cor 4:4

When a man is in sin, he do not understand what he is doing. Sometimes he dose not understand that it is wrong, though all your family, friends, relatives and church members try to convince you that it is wrong, because you are spiritually blinded.

5. It brings Lack of Hope in you:

remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. Eph 2:12

when you are in sin, you loose God and also hope for your life.

6. It Corrupts you:

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. Tit 1:15

Sin defiles you, your thoughts are corrupted, your desires are corrupted, your relationships are corrupted, your acts are corrupted.

7. It brings Guilt on you:

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Ps 51:3

The sin you commit will always be in your heart and mind, and all these thoughts will makes you feel guilty.

8. It condemns you:

Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. Rom 5:18

Sin condemns you and make you always feel unworthy to believe and receive all blessings from God.

9. It brings Spiritual death to you:

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins. Eph 2:1

As long as you are in sin, your spirit becomes deactivated, so you will not receive any help from God nor He hears you.

10. It brings eternal Punishment to you:

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matt 25:46

If you die in sin then you will be punished eternally. Someone said a person born in sin is not a problem but that person dies in sin is a big problem.

There is life after death and that life starts as soon as you complete you life here on earth, if your sins are not forgiven, you will be punished eternally. but if your sins are washed away you will be qualified for the eternal life. That life is available for everyone who believes and receives Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior.

So I want to request you dear friend, repent today from all you sins, Jesus Christ loves you. He paid the price for all the sins you have committed, and ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of your life. just accept this by confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart.

Leave your life of sin and start your new life with Jesus Christ.

God Bless you.

How did the Church grow?

Hi dear friends,

Greetings to you all in Jesus name, hope all is well with you.

As a Pastor of church, this question was there in my heart, how will my church grow? I tried my very best to see the church grow, thank God! God started to bless our church, but this was always there in me why the church is not growing as it did in 1st century?

I started to dig things from the book of Acts, I started learning, what they did? how they did? when they did? what were their priorities?

We all know that after the death of Jesus Christ the disciples scared and hid themselves from the Jews, they did not show off, they all were in a room.Suddenly Jesus appeared and gave them final instructions. They obeyed what was said to them, I believe if we can do what they did we'll get what they got.

The only thing what they did was, Waiting in Jerusalem for the promised Holy Spirit:

Bible says that 120 people were gathered and waiting for the promise of God.
how important it is to wait in the presence of God, for the things of God. I think many a times we fail to do this very important thing. How many times we preachers depend on our experience rather than waiting and getting a word for the people of God. some preachers think after we go to meeting place, God will speak to us and we can make a sermon out of it. so many people have so many ways of doing things, its not wrong but when we don't wait in the presence of God before we serve God's people, that's wrong!

What happened when they waited?
1. Filled with the Holy Spirit.
2. Filled with  Power.
3. Filled with boldness.

They preached with great boldness that Jesus is the Lord and He is risen from the dead , God confirmed their words with miracles, signs and wonders, God added to their number daily those who were being saved.

What was their secret?
(Acts 2:42-44)

1. Devoted themselves(gave themselves)

2. Apostles teachings(Hearing Word of God)
3. Fellowship with God.
4. Breaking of bread (Remembering Christ)
5. Prayer(Talking & listening to God)
They did this daily, and God added to their number DAILY.

I pray that God will give us grace to seek Him and to be soaked in His presence, as we seek Him, God will empower us and confirm our words with miracles, signs and wonders. Everywhere we go, we will be the carrier of God's Glory.

God Bless you

Love you,
Jeevan & Leena

Boast in Christ

What are you boasting about?

Jer 9:23-24: This is what the LORD says:

“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,  but let those who boast, boast about this:
that they understand and know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the LORD.

There are so many people who boast about their wisdom, they think that they are the smartest creatures on the earth and they start to look down on the people who are not as smart as they are, in the same way the strong man and the rich man.

I remember a man of God doing the same, he met one pastor in one of the meeting, this man heard of him, and went to meet him with pure love and respect, this pastor was from a small village, with small congregation, no big car, not dressed with very fine clothes, ……. That preacher treated him as if he was his servant, how sad it is? What are you boasting about?
This pastor came and told me everything happened in the meeting, he said; Preacher preached a good sermon, I was blessed by his sermon but he under-estimated the people around him, I asked him what exactly happened? Pastor said, that preacher did not see Jesus in us, because his eyes were filled with his big things.

Bible says that our boasting should be in the Lord! God said that Let him who boast of this that, ‘he understands and knows Me’.  And even 1 Cor 1:31 says ‘let him who boasts boast in the Lord’.

God wants us to know Him and understand Him! Can I ask you, what do you know about your God? What is God like? Paul desire as expressed in Phil 3: 10; he said, I want to know Christ….. what is your desire? The more you know Him, the more you desire him; the more you desire Him, the more you will be like Him.

Dan 11:32:  those who know their God will carry out great exploits.

The truth is God want to reveal Himself to us and even the church want to know Him, but why are we not getting there, because of the self we have. Stop looking at who you are and pursue God today.

When you seek Him, you will find Him. After finding Him, walk with Him, everyday, every moment live with Him. When we do this we will be complete.

God Bless you.
