Ten Bibical for a happy marriage!

By Claudia Miclaus

There as never been a perfect marriage at all but we all can give our best to make our marriage very beautiful, colorful that can inspire the next generation couple.

Though you are living in this bound of marriage past 50+ years, there are things that you have to learn in keeping you spouse happy, here are 10 rules that can make your marriage a blessed one!

1. Never bring up mistakes of the past.
Stop criticizing others or it will come back on you. If you forgive others, you will be forgiven (Luke 6:37).

2. Neglect the whole world rather than each other.
And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? (Mark 8:36)

3. Never go to sleep with an argument unsettled.
And don’t sin by letting anger gain control over you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry (Ephesians 4:26).

4. At least once a day, try to say something complimentary to your spouse.
Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit (Proverbs 15:4).

5. Never meet without an affectionate welcome.
Kiss me again and again, your love is sweeter than wine (Song of Solomon 1:2).

6.”For richer or poorer” – rejoice in every moment that God has given you together.
A bowl of soup with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate (Proverbs 15:17).

7. If you have a choice between making yourself or your mate look good, choose your mate.
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them (Proverbs 3:27).

8. If they’re breathing, your mate will eventually offend you. Learn to forgive.
I am warning you, if another believer sins, rebuke him; then if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, forgive him (Luke 17:3,4).

9. Don’t use faith, the Bible, or God as a hammer.
God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it (John 3:17).

10. Let love be your guidepost.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged (1 Cor. 13: 4, 5).

Key note: Let Jesus be the center of your marriage!

What to do when you don't know what to do?

We live in a world of suspense; we don’t know what lies ahead tomorrow so we do our best to prepare ourselves for that very day. Though you tried your very best to face tomorrow you will still fall short when you are living in that day, then  you will ask yourself what to do now? Because you did not expect that;

2 Cho 20: In this chapter we see the king of Judea faced an enemy that was attacking him from every side. After hearing this he too said I don’t know what to do now? The word of God says that he defeated his enemies and overcame them, how? Let’s look at what the things he did and if he can do it surely we too can do and overcome our enemy in Jesus name.
Things that King Jehoshaphat did:

1.   He inquired the Lord. (V: 3):
The first thing every born-again believer should do is to INQUIRE the Lord. Go and tell God what are you facing and ask Him what to do now. The reason why David was called ‘a man after God own heart’ is that he went and inquired God before he faced battle. Inquiring God is putting all your wisdom, knowledge and experience aside and humbling yourself to know God’s will for you.

2.   He proclaimed a fast to seek the Lord. (V: 4):
He proclaimed FAST in all Judea. There are different kinds of fasting but why do you fast? Most of the people fast because they want to get answers to their prayers by hook or by crook, in other words they twist God’s hand to get their miracle but Fasting is you humbling yourself and saying God let your will be done. You don’t change God by your fasting but when you fast you change yourself, you will know what God wants from you and do so. Jehoshaphat king of Judea did not know what to do, he was nervous; he was weak to face the situation so he sought the Lord for His help and Strength in the situation he was in.

 3.   Remember and proclaim the goodness and greatness of God. (V: 6-9):
The best way you can make your faith grow is by remembering who God is and what He has done? The moment you remember the goodness and greatness of God your faith level will not be the same instead you will gain strength from within to face the mountain that is in front of you. The word of God in your mouth is the greatest weapon you will ever have.
You know what happened when they were seeking God with fasting; Bible says ‘The word of God came through a prophet saying ‘Do not be afraid’. V: 15: why?  Because  ‘You no need to fight the battle, only take position and stand still for the Lord will be with you. V: 17’. Hallelujah!!!! There is hope when you inquire God, seek Him with fasting and speaking the Word of God.

4.   He and all his people bowed down and Worshiped God. (V: 16):
When they heard the word of God through the prophet (a man of God), they bowed down and worshiped God. Bowing down is the sign of complete surrender to God, saying God I don’t know what to do but I depend on you for this situation because I know you can.

5.   They praised and thanked God with Loud voice of His Splendor and Holiness. (V: 19-22):
Finally before they overcame their enemy they did one last thing; to praise God with a loud voice for who He is. They praised His majesty and glory and His Holiness, this makes God different from every other person and every other thing. And they thanked God in advance for He is with them and gave them victory even before they went to the battle field and faced their enemy.

Results:

  • The enemy rose against each other and killed one another. (V: 22-24): when they were praising God with a loud voice there raised great confusion among the enemy. They killed one another until they were all destroyed completely. The people of God did not even face their enemy; before they came and met the enemy they were already victorious.

  • The great amount of clothing, equipment and also articles of values (more than they could take away) they collected for three days. (V: 25): The people of God not only got victory over the enemy but also got the cloths, equipment and other valuable things. When God begins to bless you, you will be blessed physically, emotionally, financially and also spiritually like these people.

  • The fear of God came on all the kingdoms. (V: 29): All the people came to know that God was with them and everyone feared the people of God. When you allow God or invite God in your situation he will rescue and bless you and all the people of the world will see the greatness of God on your life and they will tremble and flee because God is with you and is fighting for you.
If we can do what king Jehoshaphat did, we will get what he got!

Real Christmas

For young people it is like painting house, decorating, music, dance and parties.

For woman at house, it’s like preparing various kinds of eatables.

For elderly man at house, it like buying gifts and distributing gifts.

Finally invite friends and relatives to house for lunch and dinner.

Is this a Christmas for you?

It might be good but if you don’t have Christ in your Christmas, it’s not Christmas but something else in the name of Jesus Christ.

What happened when Jesus was born?

Let’s learn from the life of Magi’s (wise men) from Matthew 2:1, 2, and 11.

Three things these wise men did;
·        Came searching Jesus
·        Came to Worship Jesus
·        Gave gifts to Jesus

Christmas is not about you and your things, it’s all about Jesus. If Jesus is missing in your Christmas then there is something gravely wrong going on.

In this coming Christmas seek Jesus till you find Him, once you find Him bow down and worship Him and give Him everything you are and everything you have.

Result: Matt 2:16: The enemy got mad!
When you do what the wise men did, you too will make your enemy Satan mad.

As you are getting closer to Christmas I pray that you too will seek Him like never before and Worship Him like never before and give all that you have to Jesus like never before.

Have a Jesus Christ centered Christmas.

With loads of love to you and your families,

Yours
Jeevan and Leena

Mess to Message

There are so many people who regret about their past, but I want to tell you don’t regret because your messed past will be your Message in future.

In John 4, we see a woman who was messed up in life. You see this woman came to well to fetch water at 12pm, I was thinking why this woman came to fetch water at that odd time? I’ll tell you because she had a problem.

What was the problem? She was talk of the town because she had 5 husbands and one more man (boyfriend), everywhere she went  the people were talking about her, probably some mock, some make fun of her other thoughts she was worst woman of the town.

When she came to well, she found a Jewish man by the well. She thought this man don’t know anything about me so no problem let’s go and fetch water as she went close to it, this Jewish man (Jesus) asked her for a drink. After hearing him she began to speak about rules and regulations, good and bad, high and low caste. . . . . . .

After hearing to her Jesus talks about the living water, Jesus said ‘If you drink this water you will thirst again but if you drink the water I give you, you will never thirst because this water will become a spring in within, but everyone who drinks the water of the well he/she will thirst again.

When this woman came to know that there shouldn’t be any reason for her to come to well, she said please give me because she is coming to well with fear and shame because of her sinful life.
She asked Jesus “Lord please give me this water”, Jesus said ok I will give you, only if you bring your husband. She said’ Lord I don’t have a husband’. Jesus said you have told the truth on this and told her about her problem, after few minute of conservation she came to known the person with whom she was talking is a Messiah!

After she came to know about the person who is in their town, she dropped the pot that was in her hand and went to the people and told them about Messiah.

I want you to have a close look at this situation, she came to know about messiah the first thing she did was, she went back to the town. Her whole life she was running away from the people but when she had an encounter with Jesus the Messiah, she went to people and  told them, ‘come and see a man who told me everything I ever did’ Bible says, many people in that village received Jesus because of that one sinful woman.

God used this woman’s past life to be a message for the people of Samaria to receive Jesus. This is the same with you; God will use your past life to save the people who are around you now. Your life itself is the great message you will ever preach to bring people in the kingdom of God, because you know what you have gone through, you know how you came out of the situation you were in, God will use the same experience to bring the people you are in that situation.
Remember your mess will be your message tomorrow.

God bless you,

How to be filled with spiritual power. - John G Lake

1.

1.      Be Desperately Hungry:

Matt 5:6: Blessed are the Hunger and thirst for they will be filled. This verse holds true for anything that has been provided for us by Christ, whether righteousness, holiness, healing, spiritual power or anything else. The underlying principle is this: Those who hunger and thirst, who are desperately hungry for what they desire, shall receive what they desire.

2.      Be fully convinced (Never Give Up):

Rom 4:20-21: Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
John G Lake would never give up or retreat before any disease or aliment or spiritual obstacle. Being fully convinced that Jesus Christ has provided redemption for the spirit, soul and body for every human being who would believe. He wielded the name of Jesus Christ is like a rod of Moses and drove back the enemies of God’s children wherever he found them.

3.      Be filled with the Word of God:

John 6:63: The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. John G Lake said you must be a constant consumer of God’s word. The Holy Spirit can only use the amount of the Word of God that is in you. He will teach you the deep things of the scriptures as you mediate upon them and will remind you of what He has taught you and teach you even more tat the times you needs them. So be filled with the Word of God.
4.      Be full of Faith, Holy Spirit and Power.

Acts 6:3, 5, 8: Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power.
John G Lake says, He would pray hours on His Knees. It is then, Faith, Holy Spirit and Power flowing from God through Jesus Christ to you and from you to the sick and the oppressed.

5.      Be Holy and Righteous.

Jam 5:16-18: The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective; Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
Heb 12:14: Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
The Holy life of Christ pouring through Paul and other apostles and early Christians face them not only spiritual power but also a boldness and courage that enabled them to turn the world upside down, It could be the same today.

God bless you,

Jeevan and Leena
